Soprano Design Acquires AI, Chatbot, and RPA Platform ubisend
Today, ubisend, a leader in conversational AI solutions for business, announced it has been acquired by Soprano Design, a global leader in CPaaS and communications technology headquartered in Sydney, Australia.
The acquisition immediately strengthens ubisend’s market opportunity for delivering its unique AI-powered messaging communication solutions to Soprano’s 4,500+ global customers and mobile network operator partners.
Founded in 2016, ubisend has emerged as a pioneer in AI-powered business communications. Its proprietary natural language processing (NLP) and whole-of-business conversational AI platform enables customers to develop, deploy and maintain chatbots for a wide variety of enterprise use cases, including robotic process automation (RPA), live chat and ticketing solutions.
The acquisition immediately extends Soprano’s leading communication platform as a service (CPaaS) offering with additional proprietary AI-powered messaging capabilities, and Soprano can introduce ubisend’s advanced AI-powered communication technology to help businesses launch, manage and monitor conversational solutions and scale AI communication and automation across an entire organisation, from HR and sales to IT and customer service.
“We’re thrilled that Soprano is excited by our vision of a future when organisations don’t just have one or two chatbots, but tens, hundreds and perhaps thousands of AI-powered conversations that simulate or even improve upon human interactions. We already see organisations embracing this future by building each chatbot solution as an independent form of conversational automation, solving problems and increasing efficiency across every region, business unit, team and employee.” said Dean Withey, founder and CEO of ubisend.
The ubisend acquisition will further empower Soprano to enable large enterprise and government organisations to deliver meaningful communication and more engaging relationships with customers, employees and citizens. ubisend has successfully deployed AI-powered solutions with some of the world’s best-known brands and government organisations, successfully introducing chatbots for large-scale environments.
“Soprano and ubisend share the same vision of enterprise communication, a future centred on enabling large organisations to create richer meanings, deeper trust and efficient communication, at scale. It’s more than just a natural fit, it’s an immediate win for our respective customers. In adding ubisend’s conversational AI infrastructure and expertise to our nearly 30-year experience in enterprise-level mobile messaging, we will be able to provide the tools and solutions our customers need now, and in the future, to unleash their communication potential.” said Richard Favero, CEO and Chairman of Soprano Design.
“We’re delighted to become part of the innovative and future-focussed team at Soprano. Their global footprint of operations and infrastructure is the perfect base for ubisend to blossom from a UK leader to a global player in conversational AI.” continued Dean Withey, founder and CEO of ubisend.
The transaction closed on March 25, 2022.
